What is Mine...

2 comments:
One of the things I remember most about listening to Rachel DeMille in person and on CD is her discussion about "What is Mine". She enthusiastically shares with her family what she is passionate about each day. I decided to implement this several years ago as part of our devotional.

"What is Mine" often changes. Sometimes it is a classic fiction book that I want to read aloud. Sometimes it is a book about a specific topic, or even a movie that teaches values I want my children to know.

Here are some examples of "What is Mine":
What is Yours? What have you shared with your family?

Current Read Aloud Books

No comments:
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Movie Tie-in Edition (rack) (Narnia)I've received a few emails from silent readers that have asked what we are reading and so I thought it would be a good idea for a post. We have several read aloud books going at a time usually.

Devotional:

  • We are currently reading "Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith".  We always choose a book that relates to our religious studies.
  • Scripture Study - We are currently reading "The Book of Mormon". We finished Doctrine and Covenants a few months ago in keeping with this year's Seminary reading.

Fictional Book:
Whatever Happened to Justice? (An Uncle Eric Book)
What is Mine:
  • I always share a book that I feel will help my children in the world. Currently, we have been studying the Uncle Eric series by Richard Maybury. We are reading "Whatever Happened to Justice?"
