A few changes have taken place to make this possible and easy to use in Evernote. (Evernote is a free app for Android, iPhone, Windows, and MAC at evernote.com.)

Here are the changes between the PDF version and the Evernote Template version:

• The original PDF version of the Freedom Educators Homeschool Planner was optimized for fitting the most information onto a piece of paper. The Evernote templates are optimized to fit digital screens, touch screen capabilities, and sorting information.
• Some forms have been made into multiple templates for easy sorting and use. For example, the original PDF file for the 6 Month Purge, No, and Inventory was one document. In Evernote, the templates are organized for one template for each process, 3 separate notes. One for 6 Month Purge, one for 6 Month "No", and one for 6 Month Inventory.
• The Compass still has 3 separate levels; Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Other documents like the Mentor Log, Book Record, etc. only have ONE Note for each type which can be edited to make it shorter if desired for those just starting to keep records or for those who feel overwhelmed by the larger Note template.
• The Freedom Educators Homeschool Planner Templates are editable so that users can utilize the power of the original content with their own need to personalize. Just remember that editing can result in losing the layout. Keep backup copies of the original templates in several safe places.

Digital Upgrade to TJED Homeschool Planner

I am really excited about my current project! Technology is a fabulous thing when used as a tool and not only as a toy.

Confession here....I am a techie-nerd-wanna-be!

I wish I could spend all my time in Geekville messing around with computers and learning new things about computers, phones, and tablets. Because I am a mom and busy, like most people who read my blog, I don't have time to do all that I would like to do (sound familiar anyone?).

I have been diligently working on making the TJED Homeschool Planner a digital option. Evernote is where we have decided to spend our time developing templates that will upload into the computer Windows or Mac app, giving the user options to use the planner templates on all of their compatible devices once it is uploaded.

These templates will be editable to allow for personalization and individualized record keeping. Customers who have already purchased the TJED Homeschool Planner should keep an eye open for an email to let you know of how you can get the digital version upgrade for FREE!

Evernote is FREE, but some users may want to upgrade to the Premium version if you already use it for a lot of things. Or, users may get another free account just to use for homeschooling.
